Exploring Tibetan Culture in McLeod Ganj / À la découverte de la culture tibétaine à McLeod Ganj

Aujourd’hui, nous avons passé la majeure partie de la journée un peu plus bas dans la montagne, à McLeod Ganj. Cela fait plus de 20 ans que j’ai visité la résidence du Dalaï-Lama au Tibet, et aujourd’hui, j’ai eu l’opportunité de visiter sa résidence en Inde, où il vit en exil.
En parcourant la ville, nous avons découvert la riche culture tibétaine, à travers leurs vêtements traditionnels et leur cuisine. Nous avons eu le plaisir de déguster des momos tibétains dans un petit restaurant – un plat incontournable de la gastronomie tibétaine.
Nous avons également emprunté le Skyway, un téléphérique panoramique reliant McLeod Ganj à Dharamshala, offrant une vue imprenable sur la vallée et les montagnes environnantes. Depuis plusieurs endroits en ville, nous avons pu admirer de superbes vues sur l’Himalaya.
​Demain, nous partons à 5h du matin pour Agra, en passant par Delhi.

​Today, we spent most of the day a little ways down the mountain in McLeod Ganj. It has been over 20 years since I visited the Dalai Lama's residence in Tibet, and today, I had the opportunity to visit his residence in India, where he lives in exile.
As we toured the town, we experienced the rich Tibetan culture, from their traditional dress to their food. We were happy to enjoy some Tibetan momos at a tiny restaurant—a staple of Tibetan cuisine.
We also took the Skyway, a scenic cable car ride that connects McLeod Ganj to Dharamshala, offering breathtaking views of the valley and surrounding mountains. From various points in town, we had stunning views of the Himalayas.
Tomorrow, we leave at 5 AM for Agra, traveling via Delhi.
